About the Facilitator

Dr. Vongai Nyahunzvi is a powerhouse in global leadership, storytelling, and systems change. She is the author of six books, Founder and CEO of the Alliance for Women and Girls (AFWAG), a pan-African movement supporting grassroots leaders advancing gender equity across 23 countries in Africa. With more than 20 years of experience, Vongai has worked in over 45 countries across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas, helping leaders find clarity, courage, and voice. She has coached senior executives, social entrepreneurs, heads of UN agencies, and government ministers. She has served on the UN Leadership Faculty, co-chaired regional boards, and shaped large-scale initiatives at the intersection of leadership, equity, and storytelling. Her work bridges identity, healing, and influence, creating space for women to turn lived truth into lasting legacy. When Vongai teaches, she doesn’t just speak to your potential. She speaks to your responsibility—and the story you’ve been called to tell.

Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of leaders to help them find language for what they’ve lived through, whether in boardrooms, communities, or personal transitions. And I’ve learned that starting is always the hardest part. This space is for the woman who’s been carrying a story quietly, waiting for the right time, the right words, or the right confidence to begin. You don’t have to get it perfect. You just have to give yourself permission to begin.
